Responsible for data processing in connection with the iOS app "slipstack" and this website is:

E-Mail: kontakt@einhy.de
2. General Information
slipstack is a curling puzzle game for iOS. The app can be used without registration or a user account. Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device. If you use the leaderboard, the app sends pseudonymous player and result data to our leaderboard service.
3. What Data Is Processed
3.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The app stores the following information locally in device settings (UserDefaults):
- Game progress, score, cleared rows and selected difficulty
- App settings (e.g. completed tutorial)
- Pseudonymous player ID and automatically generated leaderboard name
- Status of an optional in-app purchase to remove advertising
Pure game and settings data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or reset app data. Leaderboard data is transmitted only in connection with the leaderboard feature.
3.2 Leaderboard
When you open the leaderboard or a finished game is submitted, our leaderboard service processes your automatically generated player name, a pseudonymous player ID, platform, difficulty tier, score and cleared rows. The transfer runs through a proxy service so database credentials are not included in the app.
The leaderboard is used to display best results for each difficulty tier. No user account or email address is required. The leaderboard name is a fantasy name and should not contain personal information.
3.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)
slipstack displays advertisements via Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Banner and full-screen ads may be shown. Before serving personalized advertising, the app obtains your consent via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can change your ad preferences at any time in the app under "More" → "Consent & privacy".
Google may process device and usage data, such as the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), if you have agreed in the iOS privacy settings and the consent dialog. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
3.4 In-App Purchases (Apple StoreKit)
You can optionally make a one-time in-app purchase to remove banner advertising. Payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple (App Store). We do not have access to your payment details. Apple only provides us with information about whether the purchase was successful; this status is stored locally on the device.
3.5 This Website
When visiting this static website, no tracking cookies are set and no analytics tools are used. However, the hosting provider may process server log files for technical reasons (e.g. IP address, time of access).
4. Purpose of Data Processing
- Providing and saving the gaming experience on your device
- Providing a leaderboard for scores and cleared rows
- Displaying advertising to fund the free version of the app
- Processing optional in-app purchases
- Honoring your advertising consent choices
5. Legal Basis
Local storage of game data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract fulfillment or pre-contractual measures), insofar as this is necessary for using the app. Leaderboard data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a fair, pseudonymous leaderboard). Processing in connection with advertising and the Advertising Identifier is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent), if you have agreed. In-app purchases are processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
6. Data Retention
Locally stored game data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or reset app data. Leaderboard entries are stored as long as the leaderboard is operated or until deletion is validly requested. Advertising consent is stored according to Google UMP requirements until you revoke it or uninstall the app.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding personal data we process:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR)
Since we do not maintain user accounts, you can usually delete locally stored data yourself by uninstalling the app. For requests regarding leaderboard data, please include your leaderboard name. For requests regarding data processed by Google in connection with AdMob, please also contact Google directly.
8. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Advertising data is transmitted encrypted via interfaces provided by Google. Payment data is processed exclusively by Apple.
9. Children
slipstack is intended for a broad audience and is rated for users aged 4 and above. The app does not knowingly collect personal data such as name or email address. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
